The government in Dublin threw the book at me, disallowing entry during the three-week election campaigning period and later sending me a FINE letter in the post for thousands of euros because the “Declarations of Financial Donations” forms were not returned by my relative in Ireland, to whom they were sent and where I was impeded from attending due to the obstrufication tactics of your Irish colleagues in government (which have since rotated/changed) and in the government department in your country there (which have not changed). Not for the last government, and not for this one neither. Some of them are retired now, those who wrote to me informing me constantly “no, that’s not my offices responsibility, you need to write a letter to this person in that department”.
